With the clock down to 1:11, Dundas broke the ice for SCH, coming in from the flat on the left and directing a high shot to the right side of the cage. It was the Fords who struck first, going up 2-0 on goals with 5:47 and 4:01 remaining in the opening frame. Dundas, freshman Cole Carberry, senior Neil Hutchinson, and junior Steve Pileggi all got off shots, but the zeroes stayed on the scoreboard until less than six minutes were left in the first quarter.

Last Thursday Springside Chestnut Hill was in high spirits at the outset and spent a good deal of time on attack. The previous Friday Haverford had its closest scrape in Inter-Ac competition, needing to go into overtime for its second win over Malvern Prep, 11-10. Four goals by junior Aydan DiRocco and two goals apiece by five other players powered the Fords to a mark of 8-0 in league play and 11-2 overall. Haverford's starting goalie, junior Brody Murphy, also made 14 saves before he was subbed out late in the game.

SCH has swept Penn Charter and split in its series with Germantown Academy this season. The Blue Devils, who received three goals from senior Brendan Dundas, two from freshman Charlton McDevitt, and 14 saves from junior goalie Hayes Schreiner, came away with a record of 3-5 in the Inter-Ac League and 8-6 overall. With SCH firing the final four goals of the day in the last two-and-a-half minutes, the scoreboard came to rest at 17-10.
